Nair Tiknizyan leaving Lokomotiv Moskva?

Valery Filatov, a member of the board of directors of Lokomotiv, confirmed the transfer of defender Nair Tiknizyan to Serbian club Red Star Belgrade. Filatov expressed a sentiment that selling Tiknizyan to a more serious and expensive club would have been better, but wished the player success in Serbia, noting that playing in Europe would be more interesting for him.

Nair Tiknizyan, a 26-year-old winger for the Armenian national team, is reportedly dissatisfied with his current situation at Lokomotiv. Following a match against his former club CSKA, he made his dissatisfaction known publicly. Sergey Kornilenko, a former player and sports director, noted that Tiknizyan appears to have decided to leave the club. This statement is perceived as a move to ease his exit if a suitable offer arises. Tiknizyan joined Lokomotiv from CSKA in August 2021 for a transfer fee of €5.5 million. This season, he has appeared in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists. However, he has not taken part in the last three RPL matches, having been left on the bench twice and excluded from the squad for an away game against Fakel.

The head coach of Lokomotiv, Mikhail Galaktionov, stated that there are currently no offers for the defender Nair Tiknizyan. He mentioned that if there is concrete interest from a European club that satisfies both Lokomotiv and the player, the club would consider and support the player's initiatives. However, as of now, neither the coaching staff nor the management has received any offers.
