Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille have inquired about Dutch winger Myron van Brederode. The two clubs view the 23-year-old as an attacking reinforcement. It is reported that the interest from the two clubs grew after he scored two goals against Standard Luik last weekend. His current club, Mechelen, is not planning to sell the former AZ attacker easily and is asking for a reported fee of approximately ten million euros, which is currently acting as a deterrent. Other reports from May and August 2026 indicated a target fee in the range of €7-€8 million. Additional clubs have also shown interest in the winger, although no other names have been mentioned. Van Brederode, who joined Mechelen in September 2025, has 18 caps and one goal for the Netherlands U21 team. He is under contract with Mechelen until mid-2029, and his current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €4.5 million.
