Hibernian FC are in advanced talks with FC Copenhagen over a temporary move for Zimbabwean Centre-Back Munashe Garananga, 25, with negotiations described as being close to completion. The proposed agreement would see Munashe Garananga move to Scotland and join David Gray’s side on loan for the remainder of the season. Copenhagen are also in discussions with a MLS club, which has presented an alternative loan option. Despite that competition, Hibernian appear to be in a favorable position at this stage. Garananga, who is under contract with the Danish champions until 2028, appears likely to have a short-term spell away, with his next steps expected to be clarified before the window closes. The defender joined Copenhagen in July 2024 and has made 5 appearances in the Superliga this season, scoring once. He has 17 caps and one goal for Zimbabwe and a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.00m.
