An agreement has been reached between Elche, newly promoted to LaLiga EA Sports, and Tijuana for the transfer of striker Mourad El Ghezouani, the Spanish club has announced. The 27-year-old Spanish-Moroccan forward moves to the Mexican club after six seasons with Elche, during which he contributed to two promotions and also had loan spells with Alcoyano and Burgos. While Elche has not officially stated the transfer fee, various media reports indicate the deal is valued at close to 1.5 million euros. The player's contract with the Spanish side was due to run until June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €1.4 million.
