According to a source close to the situation, Al Ahly recently received an offer of approximately $2.5 million from FC Nordsjælland for goalkeeper Mostafa Ahmed Shobeir, 26, as well as another proposal from a Czech club. This followed interest shown a few weeks ago by ESTAC Troyes. Despite the European interest, Al Ahly has decided against a summer departure for the Egyptian international, whom they consider an important part of the squad for the coming season. Coach Houcine Ammouta is reportedly counting on the player for his sporting project. The club's management has informed its players that no transfer offers will be negotiated at present, as the decision has been made to retain its key personnel. Shobeir, who has 15 caps for Egypt, joined Al Ahly in September 2019 and made 33 appearances in the Premier League during the 2025/2026 season. His contract is valid until June 2027, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.00m.
