Despite reports of a possible transfer for 26-year-old Egyptian goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir to Serie A side Como, Al Ahly's current position is that the player will not be leaving. The Egyptian club will not allow his departure for this transfer window, as coach Houcine Ammouta considers the goalkeeper an important part of his project. Al Ahly recently received a proposal from a Czech club and an offer of approximately $2.5 million from FC Nordsjælland. According to Africafoot, ESTAC Troyes had also shown interest in previous weeks. The club's sporting management has informed players that no transfer offers are currently being negotiated because of a decision to retain its key players. Shobeir, who joined Al Ahly in September 2019 and made 33 league appearances last season, has 15 caps for Egypt and a contract that runs until 2027. His current market value is €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
