Moritz Oswald leaving Rapid Vienna?

Moritz Oswald, a 23-year-old midfielder and homegrown player of SK Rapid Wien, has been loaned to Bundesliga competitor SCR Altach for the 2025/26 season. The move aims to provide him with more playing time, especially after he missed nearly two months of preparation due to injuries. Although he hasn't played for SK Rapid this season, Oswald has participated in 98 official matches for the team. His contract with SK Rapid Wien remains valid until 2028. Markus Katzer, the Sporting Director of SK Rapid, expressed his confidence in Oswald's abilities, noting that playing at a strong club like Altach will be advantageous for his development. He also wished Oswald a successful and injury-free season.

Moritz Oswald is set to join Altach on loan from Rapid. A medical examination is pending to assess if his tendon injury has healed sufficiently to make the move worthwhile. Oswald can play as a right defender and as a defensive midfielder, positions where Altach currently has a shortage due to injuries.

Moritz Oswald, a 23-year-old player from SK Rapid Wien, is reportedly in contact with SCR Altach for a loan transfer. Despite recovering from an injury, he has not been able to secure playing time in the enhanced squad of SK Rapid Wien, leading to his dissatisfaction. SCR Altach is seeking a replacement for Vesel Demaku, who is out due to injury, and Oswald could potentially fill this role for the rest of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga season at Schnabelholz.

Moritz Oswald is reportedly discontented with his current situation at Rapid Wien, given that he has frequently been deployed merely as a substitute despite participating in 17 matches this season. His manager, Lino Heiduck, conveyed his dissatisfaction with the limited starting opportunities afforded to Oswald and suggested that a transfer might be considered during the winter window, potentially either as a loan or a sale should an appropriate offer be made. Heiduck indicated that the circumstances at Rapid are not satisfactory.
