Katzer described Oswald as a team player who has shown full commitment in training since returning from a previous loan at Altach. He added that WSG Tirol provides a professional and calm environment for the player to gain further experience in the top division, and confirmed that Rapid will monitor him throughout the season. Oswald's contract with his parent club, Rapid Vienna, runs until June 2028. He has been capped 19 times for the Austria U21 national team.
