Moritz Broschinski is returning to Germany following one year at FC Basel. Karlsruher SC announced that the 25-year-old is joining the club on loan from the Swiss team. According to Mario Eggimann, the Managing Director of Sport, Broschinski is a player who fits the exact profile the club has defined for the position athletically, tactically, and in terms of character. Eggimann also stated that the player is very familiar with German football, has international experience, and will require little time to settle in. Furthermore, Eggimann said that Broschinski's mentality and work ethic align with the values the club aims to embody.

Karlsruher SC is reportedly attempting to arrange a loan for Moritz Broschinski, a 25-year-old German striker currently with FC Basel. Initial talks have been held to discuss a potential deal. Other clubs are also said to be interested in Broschinski, who moved to the Swiss side from VfL Bochum last year for a €1.5 million fee. At Karlsruhe, he could potentially replace Fabian Schleusener in the squad. Schleusener is leaving for Fortuna Düsseldorf on a free transfer. Broschinski's contract with the Swiss club is valid until 2029, and he has one cap for the Germany U19 team. In the 2025/2026 Super League season, he made 19 appearances and scored one goal. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €600k.
