Marítimo has signed another player as the transfer window nears its end, signing Mons Bassouamina from the Cypriot club Pafos. The 28-year-old is a centre-forward who can also play as a winger and has signed a one-season contract. A dual French and Congolese national, Bassouamina is a Congo international with 13 appearances and 3 goals, and he also played four matches for the France U-18 team. During the 2025/26 season with Pafos, he was used as a substitute in 26 matches, scoring two goals. The previous season, he played for Clermont in France's second division, where he appeared in 33 games, scoring five goals and making two assists.
