According to Africafoot, FC Twente is showing strong interest in Fortuna Sittard's 24-year-old Dutch-Moroccan attacking midfielder Mohamed Ihattaren and is considering a move this summer to strengthen its offensive lineup. The interest follows the player's excellent 2025/26 season, during which he registered 6 goals and 10 assists in 30 matches. Initial discussions have already occurred and the case is being reviewed, although an official offer has not yet been submitted. Africafoot had previously revealed that Twente faces competition from other Eredivisie clubs, including Feyenoord. Fortuna Sittard is reportedly asking for the player's release clause to be activated. Africafoot disclosed in recent weeks that the amount is estimated at 3 million euros. FC Twente aims to convince the player and his entourage to complete a deal before the start of the new season. Ihattaren joined his current club in August 2025 and his contract expires on June 30, 2027.
