Mohamed Kaba Transfer from Lecce to Nantes
FC Nantes is considering acquiring Mohamed Kaba, a 24-year-old French-Guinean midfielder currently with Lecce in Serie A. Kaba, who joined the Italian club in the summer of 2023, was previously at Valenciennes, where he was voted the club's best player for the 2022-2023 season. He has made two starts in Italy, and his season ended in March 2024 due to a serious knee injury, a cruciate ligament rupture. Nantes is considering a loan for the player, a move that is independent of the anticipated arrival of Ibrahima Sissoko from Bochum. The situation is being monitored by Nantes coach Ahmed Kantari, who previously managed Kaba at Valenciennes. Kaba's contract with Lecce is valid until June 2027, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m. In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he has made 11 appearances.
