NAC Breda has announced the signing of Mohamed Bouchouari from Wydad AC, with the 25-year-old Belgian-Moroccan versatile player agreeing to a four-year contract. The move is a return to the Netherlands for Bouchouari, who previously played for FC Emmen in the Eredivisie and was part of PSV's youth academy before periods at Zulte Waregem, Anderlecht, and French club Rodez AF. Technical director Peter Maas explained that Bouchouari's two-footed ability allows him to play in both defense and midfield on either the right or left side, which was the profile the club sought. Maas also expressed his belief that the player will be a valuable addition to the squad. Bouchouari stated that it felt good to be back in the Netherlands and mentioned he was already familiar with NAC from his time at FC Emmen. The player, who has four caps for the Belgium U19 team, has a current market value of €450k, according to Transfermarkt.
