Serbian centre-forward Miloš Pantović, 24, is to return to Serbia for a season-long loan at Železničar Pančevo because he was not in Panathinaikos's plans. The move to Železničar Pančevo occurred after a transfer to Jagiellonia failed at the last moment for unknown reasons, even after Pantović had travelled for medical examinations. Prior to the Jagiellonia transfer, Pantović had received offers from the Spanish second division and from Kifisia; the offer from Valladolid was the most concrete. A significant remaining issue is the player's high salary, which his new club would need to assume from Panathinaikos, and it is unclear how this will be resolved. Pantović has one cap for Serbia, joined Panathinaikos in August 2025, and is contracted until June 2029. His current market value is €2.50m. His move to Panathinaikos from Bačka Topola was for a reported fee of €1.5 million, and his transfer from Voždovac to Bačka Topola in July 2023 was for €300,000.
