Sunderland have confirmed that 20-year-old Serbian midfielder Milan Aleksić has rejoined Partizan Belgrade, the club where he developed in the academy. Sunderland announced the move is a loan for the 2026/27 season. The Serbian side revealed that the agreement includes a contractual option to buy at the end of the loan. It was reported in June 2026 that this option is set at €1.2 million. Aleksić joined Sunderland from Radnički Kragujevac in August 2024 for a reported fee of €3.0 million, and his contract with the English club runs until 2028. The midfielder has 11 caps and one goal for the Serbia U21 national team and made six league appearances in the 2025/2026 season. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €700k.
