Slovakian defender Mikuláš Bakaľa, 25, has joined MFK Dukla Banská Bystrica. Bakaľa returns to the Niké liga after two years abroad, during which he played for Dutch club FC Den Bosch and Polish team Polonia Bytom. The sporting director of MFK Dukla, Jozef Mores, expressed satisfaction with the signing, stating that the club needed a center-back and is pleased to welcome Bakaľa, describing him as a quality professional. He has been capped once for the Slovakia U21 team. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 17 appearances and provided 1 assist for Polonia Bytom in the Polish Betclic 1 Liga. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated to be €125k.
