KV Mechelen is interested in Mike Eerdhuijzen, a 26-year-old Dutch left-footed central defender who is currently under contract at FC Utrecht. Mike Eerdhuijzen started the last two Eredivisie matches as a starter and is open to a move to Mechelen. Tom Caluwé of KV Mechelen and FC Utrecht's technical director, Jordy Zuidam, will start negotiations about a possible transfer. KV Mechelen has contacted FC Utrecht for Mike Eerdhuijzen and is willing to pay 1.5 million euro for the defender. It is reported that the Dutch club demands two million euro excluding bonuses, and FC Utrecht is considering a higher transfer fee. Eerdhuijzen has one cap for the Netherlands U20 team. He joined the club in July 2025 and is under contract until 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.30m.
