Senegalese Centre-Back Mikayil Faye, 21, is reportedly leaving and has been excused from the resumption of pre-season training at Stade Rennais FC, having just returned from a loan spell at US Cremonese. His contract with the French club runs until 2028, and he has one cap and one goal for Senegal. Cremonese have been recently linked with a move for the player. Faye joined Rennes from Barcelona in August 2024 for a fee reported to be €10.3 million, and his loan to Cremonese reportedly included a €10 million purchase option. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €4.50m.
