Bold previously reported that AGF was making an effort to acquire the 28-year-old Icelandic international Mikael Anderson from the Swedish club Djurgården. The parties have now reached an agreement for a deal, and the midfielder is traveling for a medical check with AGF. This move would be a return for Anderson to the club he left in the summer of 2025 when Djurgården activated his 15 million kroner release clause. Since joining the Stockholm club, he has scored eight goals in 22 appearances. It is reported that Djurgården hopes to at least get back their initial investment in the player, whose contract with them runs until 2029. Anderson, who has 37 caps for his country, has also been linked with Malmö FF and has a current market value of €1.80m according to Transfermarkt.
