According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Oviedo is interested in Spanish central defender Miguel Rubio, who is 28. He is one of several players who could leave his current club, RCD Espanyol Barcelona. His potential departure is linked to the team's plan to restructure its defense, a part of the team from which up to five players could exit. Rubio became an Espanyol player in July 2025, and his contract is valid until 2028. During the 2025/2026 LaLiga season, he has participated in 12 matches and scored one goal.
