In a statement, Abha Club said it has added Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi to its first-team squad on a free transfer.

According to L'Équipe, Michy Batshuayi's transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to the Saudi promoted side Abha was for a fee of €2 million. The player has not played at all since an injury in December and had been training with the German club's U21 team. Abha has made fifteen new signings.

Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi, 32, has moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to Saudi Arabian club FC Abha. It is not known whether a transfer fee was involved for the player, who had one year remaining on his contract. Eintracht wanted to remove Batshuayi from their wage bill because he had no future at the club under new coach Adi Hütter.
