Michal Tomic has officially joined Spartak Trnava as a new player. The 26-year-old Slovak right-back has transferred from Slavia Praga and has committed to a three-year contract with the club. The transfer was a mutual desire, with Tomic acknowledging through the club's official channels that both parties were keen on the move. He mentioned that the negotiations with Spartak were straightforward and honest. He also noted that he had multiple discussions with the sporting director Martin Škrtel, whose involvement significantly influenced his decision. Tomic, who has six national team caps, including three appearances in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, is expected to bring experience and quality to the Slovak team. Having started his career in Slovakia and later moving to Italy to join Sampdoria's youth team from 2015 to 2018, his return to Slovakia marks an important step in his professional journey.
