Michał Mokrzycki has explained his decision to transfer to Śląsk Wrocław. He stated that negotiations regarding a new contract with ŁKS Łódź began at the end of September and were postponed by the club three times. Mokrzycki said that ultimately, no agreement was reached, and the reasons were not only financial. He expressed that he wanted to leave during the winter transfer window once it became clear before Christmas that an agreement with ŁKS Łódź would not be reached. He added that Śląsk Wrocław showed strong interest in him and that his decision to join was determined by the length of the contract, which convinced him of their belief in him.

The sports director of ŁKS, Radosław Mozyrko, said on TVP Sport that they were determined to keep Michał Mokrzycki. He stated that Michał received one of the highest contracts in the team, but they were unable to financially compete with Śląsk Wrocław. Mozyrko also said that they discussed a contract extension several times, but as early as December, they were informed that an agreement would not be reached and an offer for him might come.

Michał Mokrzycki moved from ŁKS Łódź to Śląsk Wrocław for approximately 500 thousand złotych (110-115 thousand euro), according to Szymon Janczyk from Weszlo.com. Janczyk also indicated that Śląsk Wrocław quickly accepted the terms set by ŁKS Łódź.

Michał Mokrzycki has moved from ŁKS Łódź to Śląsk Wrocław in a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee. The signed contract is valid until June 30, 2029.
