The club is seeking a replacement for Kamil Grabara, who is expected to leave following their relegation. Zetterer is reportedly an alternative option for Wolfsburg, along with the unattached Stefan Ortega. The club's primary target is believed to be Tjark Ernst of Hertha BSC, but they are still awaiting his decision. Zetterer moved to Eintracht Frankfurt from Werder Bremen in August. His contract with Frankfurt is valid until 2029 and he made 22 appearances in the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.00m.
