However, Bradford fan pundit Boris Thomson expressed that he feels Smith is past his peak. Thomson suggested that Bradford should instead look for a younger player with more potential, questioning if Smith's performance level has declined and doubting he would be the one to transform the team, although he did agree that the striker position is an area the club must address this summer.
