Michael Keane Transfer from Everton to Leicester City
Leicester City have shown interest in acquiring Michael Keane, as his contract with Everton is set to expire on Monday. Starting Tuesday, Keane will be available as a free agent. Leicester are looking to secure the services of the veteran defender to enhance their squad in preparation for a return to the Premier League in the 2026-27 season. Despite facing competition from other clubs, such as Leeds, Leicester remain optimistic that the opportunity for regular playing time might persuade Keane to opt for their team. At 32, Keane has played in 253 Premier League matches and earned 12 caps for England, making him a significant asset for teams looking to strengthen their defense. With the pre-season period approaching, a decision regarding Keane’s future is anticipated soon; however, Leicester have not yet extended a formal contract offer.
