BSC Young Boys are considering options to replace left-back Jaouen Hadjam, who will be unavailable for months following an ankle operation. Chief Sports Christoph Spycher noted that while the club has two young players, Rhodri Smith and Olivier Mambwa, for the position, he questioned if it was the right time to expose them to significant pressure. Consequently, Michael Heule from Thun is mentioned as a potential replacement. Spycher did not deny this possibility, and also did not rule out another named option, former YB player Ulysses Garcia of Marseille. The 24-year-old Swiss player is under contract with Thun until June 2028 and has provided four assists in 18 Super League appearances in the 2025/2026 season.
