Brazilian winger Michael, aged 29, is a free agent after he rescinded his contract with Flamengo by mutual agreement on a Friday morning. The agreement, which was originally set to run until the end of 2028, was terminated because the player was not part of the plans of coach Filipe Luís. To finalize the rescission, both parties agreed on the financial terms owed to the player. Michael has decided not to stay in Brazil and will return to Saudi Arabia to determine his future. Al Ula, Al Shabab, and Al Taawon have all shown interest in the attacker before the Saudi transfer window closes on the following Monday. The player has a current market value of €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In October 2025, the player rejected a loan offer from Al-Ula, which was reported to include a €2.3 million fee and a €3.7 million purchase option. His transfer from Flamengo to Al Hilal in January 2022 was for a fee reported to be €7.6 million.
