Michael Adu-Poku has joined Newport County on a season-long loan from Watford for the 2026-27 campaign. The twenty-year-old is an English and Ghanaian winger who progressed through Watford's youth system after joining at the age of thirteen. He made his senior debut for the club at seventeen. Adu-Poku has prior EFL and National League experience from several loan spells, which includes a period with League Two side Barrow during the first half of the 2025-26 season. He is capable of playing as a winger or wide forward and will provide another attacking option for Hayden Mullins' squad. His contract with Watford expires on June 30, 2027.
