There were offers for Metinho, but FC Basel did not receive sufficiently high offers. Andreas Herrmann said that they are very happy that the two players are staying with them and that this was also a reason why not much else happened at the club towards the end.

Metinho remains a candidate to leave FCB. Stephan Lichtsteiner said that currently, it is his feeling that both will stay there.

Metinho is described as a sale candidate. Coach Stephan Lichtsteiner stated that the player will play against Servette. Lichtsteiner also said that he has no alternative plan if Metinho leaves FC Basel this summer and that if he is sold, he will look for a solution.

Herrmann stated that Metinho is a crucial player and that they would like to continue with him. He said the player and his advisors also have ideas about taking the next step in his career, but that currently there are no new developments and there is no activity in the transfer market.
