DC United is reportedly interested in signing another player from CFR Cluj, Meriton Korenica. Negotiations between the MLS club and CFR Cluj are at an advanced stage, with the proposed sum being approximately 4 million euros. The interest from DC United's coach, Rene Weiler, is said to have begun after he watched Korenica from the stands during a match against Rapid. Korenica scored in that match. Weiler reportedly considers Korenica to be a more interesting player than Louis Munteanu. The American club also signed Louis Munteanu from CFR Cluj.
