Mehdi Taremi, an Iranian striker with experience at Porto and Inter, was transferred to Al Wasl from Olympiacos for 400 thousand euros. He arrived at Al Wasl a day before Dinko Horkaš.

According to Gazzetta.gr, Mehdi Taremi is officially no longer a player for Olympiacos and will continue his career with Al Wasl in Dubai. The two parties have parted ways despite Taremi having one year remaining on his contract with Olympiacos. Al Wasl has now officially announced Taremi as their player.

Mehdi Taremi, the 34-year-old centre-forward whose departure from Olympiacos was anticipated, visited the Renti facilities for a final time on Thursday to bid farewell to his teammates, the coaching staff, and all personnel at the Piraeus club. The Iranian international is now expected to travel to Dubai to complete his transfer to Al Wasl. His move is part of a series of planned departures from Olympiacos. Taremi has 107 caps and 58 goals for his country. His current market value is €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
