30-year-old German left-back Maximilian Wittek has extended his expiring contract with VfL Bochum for two more years until 2028. The head coach, Uwe Rösler, expressed his happiness about the deal. Maximilian Wittek stated that the club was his first point of contact and he is proud and happy that an agreement was reached after many good discussions. Wittek joined the club in August 2023 and has been capped 15 times for Germany's U20 team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.00m.
