Bayer Leverkusen has expressed concrete interest in Maxime Estève, a 23-year-old French centre-back from the recently relegated FC Burnley. Two other Premier League clubs have also shown interest in the player. Leverkusen is seeking a left-footed defender, and Estève fits their requirements. He has a long-term contract with Burnley until 2030. Last summer, Vincent Kompany, who previously coached the player, made an unsuccessful attempt to bring him to Bayern. Estève joined Burnley in July 2024 and has one cap for the France U23 national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be €25.00m.
