Maurides was loaned to Debreceni VSC, a club in the Hungarian league. He had limited chances to play in St. Pauli's Bundesliga team under coach Alex Blessin, due to returning from vacation in poor physical condition. His debut in Hungary was remarkable as he scored three goals, including an own goal. Debreceni VSC is coached by former HSV assistant coach Nestor El Maestro.
