Tuttomercato has reported that Palermo is interested in signing Mattia Perin, a 32-year-old Italian goalkeeper. The club is considering Perin as an alternative option because of the physical issues faced by their current goalkeeper, Alfred Gomis. Initially, Palermo had looked into acquiring Adrian Semper from Pisa and Jonathan Klinssman from Cesena. However, these players were not available as their clubs decided to retain them. As a result, Palermo has now turned its attention to Mattia Perin from Juventus and Lorenzo Montipò from Hellas Verona. Despite these considerations, there is no immediate rush to complete the transfer due to the presence of Bardi, an experienced goalkeeper, in the team. Perin's contract with Juventus is valid until June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €2.50 million. Additionally, other clubs like Fenerbahçe and Bologna have also been associated with interest in the goalkeeper.
