According to Tuttomercato, Matthias Verreth is set to transfer to Bari after ending his contract with Brescia. The termination of his contract was due to Brescia's inability to register in Serie C. Verreth will join Bari on a free transfer and has agreed to a contract that extends until June 2028. He is scheduled to join the team from the start of their training camp in Roccaraso. The Belgian midfielder has previously played for clubs such as Waasland-Beveren in Belgium, Kolding in Denmark, Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and Willem II in Belgium before his move to Brescia last summer. He has also played for Belgium at various youth levels.
