Schalke 04, who are second in the German second division, had previously considered the 25-year-old player in the summer, but a transfer was not completed at that time. Schalke 04, who are second in the German second division, are interested in Matteo Waem, a 25-year-old Belgian-Italian central defender for ADO Den Haag. The club had also considered him in the summer, but a transfer did not proceed. It is reported that FC Groningen, currently sixth in the Eredivisie, and other clubs are also showing interest in the player. Waem's contract expires in June. ADO's technical director, Mark Wotte, has made him an offer to extend his contract to avoid a free transfer, but an agreement has not yet been reached. The player is said to be open to re-signing. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €650k. In 14 Keuken Kampioen Divisie appearances this season, Waem has scored one goal and provided three assists.
