Matteo Cortesi Transfer from Athletic Carpi to Arezzo

TuttoMercatoWeb.com has reported that Matteo Cortesi has left Carpi to join Arezzo. The two clubs are finalising the last details of the deal, and the official announcement is expected either tonight or by tomorrow. The player will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with Arezzo.

Arezzo, the leader of Serie C's Girone B, is interested in 27-year-old Italian second striker Matteo Cortesi. This interest has reportedly tempted the player, which has led to some tension with his club, Carpi. The player had renewed his contract with the club 13 months ago until 2027 before extending it further during the summer until June 30, 2028. Carpi is waiting for a suitable bid, as the club has not yet received an offer considered adequate for the attacker's value. While the club does not have an urgent need to sell, TuttoMercatoWeb.com has reported that Carpi does not intend to block the player from leaving Emilia, provided an appropriate offer is made. Cortesi has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k and has scored 6 goals and provided 6 assists in 18 league appearances in the 2025/2026 season. Cortesi is not currently training with the team, possibly due to new medical certificates, and is almost certainly not expected to be involved in the upcoming trip to Campobasso.
