Deportivo Cali manager Rafael Dudamel confirmed that the club is close to selling 18-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Matías Orozco to European football. During a press conference, Dudamel revealed that negotiations are in an advanced stage and that only final details need to be settled. The manager did not name a club. Orozco's destination is expected to be in England, and it is specified that Liverpool and Brentford are two interested teams. The transfer fee to sign the footballer is estimated to be around 6 million euros. Orozco joined Deportivo Cali in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2029. The Colombia U21 international made 14 domestic league appearances and scored one goal in the 2025/2026 season. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.40m.
