Matías Nahuel Leiva Esquivel Transfer from Maccabi Haifa to Śląsk Wrocław
According to Krzysztof Banasik from the Slasknet.com portal, Śląsk Wrocław is interested in Matías Nahuel Leiva and is considering his return on a six-month loan with a purchase option of €1-1.5 million. The parties are reportedly almost in agreement. All three teams still need to negotiate the division of the salary, as the Spanish player currently earns around €40,000 per month in Israel. The interested parties are ready to cover roughly half of that amount.
Matías Nahuel Leiva, a 29-year-old Spanish-Argentinian winger, could potentially return to Śląsk Wrocław from his current club, Maccabi Hajfa. The player, who was sold by Śląsk to the Israeli club in 2024, has recently experienced reduced playing time and is said to be interested in the move. The proposed transfer would be a loan with a purchase option. According to Piotr Janas, the involved parties are nearing an agreement. The deal is structured as a half-year loan, which includes a buy option estimated at 1 to 1.5 million euros. This option is conditional on Śląsk Wrocław securing promotion and is considered unlikely to be activated. The terms of the player's salary have reportedly been settled, with Śląsk set to pay a portion of the wages while Maccabi Hajfa covers the remaining amount. Matías Nahuel, who has two caps for Spain's U21 team, has a current market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.00m. In the 2025/2026 Ligat ha'Al season, he has made 10 appearances and scored 2 goals.
