According to ESPN BR, Corinthians agreed on Sunday (11) to the signing of Matheus Pereira from Fortaleza. The player is scheduled to arrive in São Paulo's capital on Sunday and will undergo medical examinations on Monday (12) to sign with the new team. The signing will be a loan that runs until December 2026.

Following the lifting of their transfer ban, Corinthians has agreed terms with Fortaleza to sign Brazilian midfielder Matheus Pereira on loan. The 27-year-old was developed at Corinthians. The newspaper 'O Povo' initially reported the club's interest in bringing him back. Pereira, who has three caps for Brazil's U17 team, joined Fortaleza in June 2025 and his contract there runs until December 2027. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.20m.
