Globo.com reports that Grêmio have reached an agreement to sign 22-year-old Brazilian Matheus Nascimento from Botafogo, where he is an academy graduate. The center-forward had been on loan at LA Galaxy until the end of June, having moved to the United States in March 2025 because of a lack of opportunities in Brazil, and his contract with the Rio de Janeiro club is scheduled to expire at the end of December this year. While the structure of the deal has not been confirmed, the player is expected to arrive in Porto Alegre this Tuesday for medical examinations. Matheus Nascimento is being signed to reinforce a position that was recently weakened by the sale of André Henrique to Göztepe of Turkey.
