Ekstraklasa newcomer Wieczysta Kraków has a strong interest in signing 29-year-old Polish defender Mateusz Wieteska, as the club is looking for new players. The 6-time Poland international is a Cagliari player, and his contract expires in 12 months. However, transfer talks could be complicated by a long break from playing, as Wieteska missed the entire previous season after tearing his cruciate ligaments while on loan at the Turkish club Kocaelispor. Wieteska joined Cagliari in August 2023 and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €1.00m.
