Mateo Sanabria Transfer from Al Ain to Bahia

Bahia is in the process of negotiating the signing of Argentine forward Mateo Sanabria, a 21-year-old player. This development was first reported by journalist César Luis Merlo and has since been confirmed by ESPN. The club is keen on acquiring Mateo Sanabria and is proceeding with caution in the negotiations, mindful of interest from other Brazilian clubs such as Cruzeiro and Corinthians. Both clubs have shown interest but have not advanced due to the high cost involved. To avoid a bidding war that could escalate the transfer fee, Bahia is attempting to keep the deal as low-profile as possible. The club has admitted that Sanabria's participation in the Club World Cup has led to an increased asking price, coupled with heightened competition. Sanabria, who began his career with Lanús and later played for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, has also been a part of Argentina's youth teams, including the 2022 Toulon Tournament. During his last season at Al Ain, he made 33 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists. He was coached by Hernán Crespo, who is currently managing São Paulo.
