Mateo Pellegrino Transfer from Parma to Villarreal
Several major clubs are reportedly showing interest in Parma's 23-year-old Argentine striker, Mateo Pellegrino, according to information cited from Tuttosport. Villarreal is among a group of foreign clubs, which also includes Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest, to have monitored the striker, while Roma has also been linked. Parma has a firm stance on the player, having already turned down an offer exceeding €15 million from an overseas club in the summer because they believe his value could double. The situation is complicated by a clause that gives his former club, Velez, 50% of any future sale. Parma, who rejected advances for Pellegrino in the winter, reportedly intends to keep him until at least the summer, and possibly until the summer of 2026, meaning a substantial offer would be required to secure a transfer, especially as his current contract runs until 2029.
