According to journalist Guillermo Arango, Junior FC is interested in 27-year-old Colombian central midfielder Mateo García from Once Caldas. The player has also reportedly received renewed interest from Millonarios, though Arango considers that potential move difficult, mentioning that Once Caldas was asking for $1.4 million six months ago. García is also said to have offers from abroad following his good performance in the Copa Sudamericana. García joined Once Caldas in January 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €900k.
