According to César Luis Merlo, Newell’s has announced the signing of Mateo García. He joined as a free agent after terminating his contract with Atlas and signed a contract until December 2027.

Argentinian winger Mateo García, 29, has joined Newell's. He will travel to Rosario tomorrow after terminating his contract with Atlas, a club he joined in July 2023. Mateo García will sign a contract for 18 months. His current market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
