Vojvodina has sent an official offer to Radnik Surdulica for 23-year-old Serbian right-back Mateja Gašić. The club is interested in Gašić due to his strong performances. The potential transfer is intended to provide an adequate replacement for Lazar Nikolić on the right side of the defence, a position for which Vojvodina has had a long-standing need. The club's president, Dragoljub Zbiljić, confirmed to Meridian Sport that an offer had been made to the club in Surdulica. He described Gašić as a quality player who is needed to assist the team in achieving its goals and to increase competition in the defensive line. Gašić has two appearances for Serbia's youth national team. He joined Radnik three years ago and has since made 108 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists. His contract with the club is valid until 30/06/2027. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.20m. Italian clubs Sampdoria and Genoa have also been linked with him. Radnik Surdulica must now decide whether to accept the offer for one of its most promising players.
