According to Dennis Kranenburg at FC Rijnmond, Ajax has a strong interest in 20-year-old Dutch Sparta Rotterdam defender Marvin Young. Young is regarded as a great talent and was previously linked with PSV. PSV had pursued the central defender for some time, but Sparta Rotterdam reportedly wants a significant fee for the player. A transfer did not result from an initial bid of three million euros from PSV in the summer of 2025. Young joined Sparta Rotterdam in November 2024 and his contract is until June 30, 2029. The Netherlands U21 international has two caps and has made 22 appearances in the Eredivisie this season. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €4.00m.
